FAS Kids,Teens and hybrid:

A journey through Invisible Orthodontic Treatments at any age

AIMS of the Course

FAS is a new aligner system that was created and developed by Doctors Domingo Martin and Alberto Canabez to bring function and excellence to the world of aligners. The system allows clinicians to finish their cases with excellent occlusion, fewer aligners and minimal refinements.

The number of FAS Aligners will vary in relation to the complexity of each case and the recommended treatment plan. The present course will demonstrate with several clinical cases the use of FAS Aligners in mixed dentitions, to correct anterior cross bites, lateral cross bites relieve crowdings and redirect the harmonious development of the arches.
Also, the use of FAS Aligners in teens during permanent dentition will be shown, as alternative to Twin Blocks/Functional appliances to correct Class II malocclusions, cross bites, and deep overbites.

Finally the Hybrid FAS Aligner/2D Lingual concept will be discussed for the invisible treatments of adults. In fact, very challenging malocclusions may need additional FAS Aligners after the initial series of Aligners is completed, or they could be finalized with the help of 2D Lingual brackets. Because tooth movement is subject to individual biological factors, the system cannot guarantee complete achievement of the difficult movements and additional aligners and/or techniques such as lingual braces, skeletal anchorage and additional intermaxillary elastics may be necessary to achieve the proposed goal. The combined use of 2D Lingual braces together with FAS Aligners will optimize the treatment outcome and reduce the number of appointments, especially in specific clinical situations like severe rotational control, alignment of impacted canines, torque control and management of gingival recessions, angulation control and root uprighting.

FAS Kids

80% of orthodontic treatments could be avoided if treated at early ages before the malocclusion sets in. FAS KIDS aims to maintain or restore the natural functional balance of the mouth and the rest of the body in growing patients. FAS Kids aligner treatment is especially designed to correct patients’ malocclusions, both in primary as in mixed dentition, that is between 5 and 12 years old. Thanks to 3D technology FAS Kids aligners are custom made and are adapted as the patient grows.
FAS Kids aligners are made with a special material that adapts perfectly to the dental anatomy, thus avoiding discomfort of conventional devices.

FKA (fas kids aligners) are a real alternative to conventional treatment of orthodontic problems in growing patients since they are really comfortable, they do not cause wounds or sores, they reduce the risk of cavities, facilitate patient hygiene, allow them to be removed to eat, do not make speech difficult, reduce the risk of dental fractures and increase the patient
self-esteem.
