3D printing

More precise, reliable and super fast

The NBEE and SLASH 2 PLUS 3D printers from UNIZ Technology are characterised by an impressive efficiency of high speed, maximum precision and absolute reliability. The 3D printers developed by the Chinese manufacturer specifically for dental requirements are now available from FORESTADENT. The company is thus adding two state-of-the-art resin printers for orthodontic practices and laboratories to its portfolio of intraoral scanners and filament printers, which is designed for the use of digital technologies.

Model printing in world record time

The SLASH 2 PLUS realises the simultaneous printing of six aligner models in approx. 18 minutes. The NBEE achieves this in a world record time of just five minutes. These values are achieved by the devices with a layer thickness of 100 µm, while also ensuring 98.6% accuracy compared to the data model.

Highly effective, reliable printing

The impressive speed and high precision of the printing process are achieved, among other things, by the devices’ extremely powerful light source and patented liquid cooling system. This ensures efficient heat dissipation, so that the reaction temperature in the printing resin always remains at a consistently optimal level.

Resin from other manufacturers can also be processed

Thanks to their open system, UNIZ 3D printers can process materials from other suppliers in addition to the company’s own resins, making them even more flexible to use. For example, the NBEE model in particular has been developed through intensive collaboration with Graphy Inc. to achieve full compatibility with the resins of the well-known Korean manufacturer, which are also distributed worldwide by FORESTADENT. One particular focus was on the new Tera Harz TC-85 – an innovative material with a shape memory effect that will enable the direct printing of aligners from 2022.

Interfaces to common software solutions

To enable the NBEE and SLASH 2 PLUS 3D printers to be integrated as seamlessly as possible into the digital workflow of the practice and laboratory, interfaces are available not only to the UNIZ Dental Slicing software but also to software solutions from leading intraoral scanner providers such as 3Shape and MEDIT.
