From Base Camp to the Top
Women’s Orthodontic Summit
On November 6 in Bonn,Germany
Base Camp
Base camp with FORESTADENT! Networking, learning, and having fun
At Basecamp – Women in Orthodontics, the focus is on personal exchange and close interaction with the speakers. This event does not follow a traditional conference format – it thrives on dialogue. Participants are not just listeners; they are an active part of the experience. Questions, perspectives, experiences, and conversations on equal terms bring Basecamp to life.
Specialist presentations & live interviews
The program includes six inspiring specialist presentations. Each speaker is given 45 minutes on stage: 30 minutes for the presentation and 15 minutes for the live interview.
The interview sessions deliberately go beyond theory and numbers.
The focus is on real experiences – personal successes as well as challenges. Practical tips, honest insights, and valuable lessons form the core of each talk.
Ms. Kathrin Jakubik will moderate throughout the day with humor, ease, and charm, creating a safe space where openness, exchange, and genuine encounters become second nature.
Women’s power
By women for women on equal terms
A safe space for genuine exchange
On November 6 in Bonn, Germany, this international summit will bring together female orthodontists from around the world in a summit that has been deliberately designed by women for women.
This will create a space where different conversations are possible.
More open. More personal. More honest.
Each speaker will contribute not only their expertise, but also their attitude, their experiences, and their individual stories—authentic, inspiring, and on equal footing.
The aim:
- Not just imparting knowledge, but creating connections.
- Not just listening to content, but growing together.
- Not just taking inspiration away with you, but experiencing real relevance for everyday practice.
More than a conference: an experience that brings people together
An event that inspires, connects and empowers you. You can expect active exchange and dialogue on equal terms.
Look forward to:
- Inspiration that lasts
- Practical knowledge for everyday life
- Connections that prove valuable in the long term
The event concludes with an exclusive evening event featuring a fancy dinner, music, and plenty of opportunity for personal conversations—relaxed, stylish, and full of positive energy. The perfect setting to deepen relationships and strengthen networks for the long term.
And because genuine encounters take time: Stay overnight in your own camper, let the day come to a relaxed end, and enjoy a casual breakfast in basecamp style the next morning. Places are limited.

Smart and competent communication – verbal and non-verbal
Betül Hanisch
Building a stable, appreciative, and trusting relationship with both team members and patients requires the conscious use of non-verbal communication—responsible for over 93% of perception—combined with carefully chosen words and a respectful, appreciative attitude. Through proven techniques for handling complaints, emotional situations, and direct attacks with confidence, it becomes possible to de-escalate conflicts effectively and develop a practice culture of excellence.

TADs in the Digital Era
Dr. Daniela Zaharia
This presentation explores the role of digital workflows in the clinical use of TADs across all three key phases: precise digital planning of insertion sites, accurate intraoral transfer, and the design of highly personalized, TAD-borne appliances. Through clinically driven examples, it highlights how digital tools enhance accuracy, predictability, and efficiency while seamlessly integrating into everyday orthodontic practice.

Aligners and Vertical Control
POSSIBILITIES, LIMITATIONS, AND CLINICAL STRATEGIES
Dr. Dragana Zeljković Jekić
Clear aligners are widely used in modern orthodontics, but effective vertical control in deep bite and open bite cases remains challenging and often requires precise biomechanics and skeletal anchorage. This lecture presents current strategies for intrusion, extrusion, digital planning, and attachment use, illustrated with clinical cases and realistic treatment limitations.

About Dr. Dragana Zeljković Jekić
Dr. Dragana Zeljkovic Jekic completed her orthodontic specialization at Belgrade University in 2016 and is the founder of Risus Orthodontics in Novi Sad, where she has treated over 8,000 orthodontic cases. Specializing in temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, clear aligner therapy, and skeletal anchorage treatments, she is an international lecturer and clinical expert, particularly renowned for her work on managing gummy smile cases.
OcclusalDesign
A SMARTER APPROACH TO PREDICTABLE ALIGNER TREATMENT PLANNING
Dr. Maria Magallon
OcclusalDesign introduces a strategic, individualized approach to aligner treatment planning that integrates occlusal principles, realistic biomechanics, and patient-specific biological, aesthetic, and functional considerations to improve predictability and stability. The lecture presents practical planning strategies that enhance clinical efficiency and significantly reduce unnecessary refinements.

About Dr. Maria Magallon
Where are the borders of dental compensation in Class III patients
Prof. Nazan Kucukkeles
Although orthognathic surgery remains the gold standard for Class III skeletal malocclusion, selected borderline cases may be managed with orthodontic camouflage, historically relying on patient cooperation through elastics, expansion, extractions, or facemask therapy. With the expanded use of miniscrews, more severe Class III cases can now be treated through predictable lower arch distalization, which will be demonstrated and discussed through evidence-based clinical cases.

Sagittal correction
HOW TO CHOOSE THE BEST APPROACH WITH THE MB 5.0 STRAIGHT WIRE APPLIANCE.
Prof. Roberta Lione
Sagittal malocclusions (Class II and III) arise from dentoalveolar, skeletal, or combined discrepancies and are highly prevalent, often motivating patients to seek treatment due to their significant aesthetic impact. This presentation emphasizes comprehensive diagnosis beyond molar relationships and demonstrates fixed appliance mechanics using the MB 5.0 prescription, with clinical outcomes evaluated through dental, skeletal, and soft-tissue measurements for long-term stability.
