Digitalisation of treatment processes was one of the trade fair trends at the International Dental Show in Cologne. With its product line, FORESTADENT as well introduced intelligent digital solutions to support orthodontic practices in their daily workflow. For example, the company presented the new TRIOS® 4 from the portfolio of intraoral scanners by 3Shape, whose nationwide distribution has been taken over by FORESTADENT.
The new TRIOS® 4 now available from FORESTADENT
The fourth generation of the well-known intraoral scanners is the most powerful to date and offers digital, timely detection of possible surface and interproximal caries among other things. This allows dental professionals to detect caries during the scanning process and inform the referring dentist. New attachments to the TRIOS® 4 are fitted with instant-heat technology. Not only does that make the device scan-ready in seconds, it also serves to increase scanner battery life by 30%. Alongside the new TRIOS® 4, FORESTADENT also distributes the TRIOS® 3, TRIOS® 3 Wireless, as well as the TRIOS® MOVE. A basic version of the aforementioned is now available for beginners.
Accusmile® – the aligner system from FORESTADENT
Specially made for the production of aligners, FORESTADENT offers its Accusmile® service. Choosing a certain Accusmile® package allows the practitioner to decide how much of the value chain his or her practice contributes and which production steps are handled by FORESTADENT.
Double presence for the first time at a trade fair
At this year’s IDS, FORESTADENT presented itself for the first time together with FORESTADENT IMPLANTS. The company was founded at the end of 2017 as a wholly owned subsidiary in order henceforth to be present in the orthodontic implantology market. In July 2017, as a first step within the targeted establishment of products in the field of implant dentistry, the prowital Implant System, including all rights and patents, was acquired and since then has been offered by FORESTADENT IMPLANTS. The young company aims to develop its own implantological quality products in the future.
