FORESTADENT invites you to two event highlights on the Seine in September.

In only a few weeks the FORESTADENT event highlights of 2010 begin in Paris – the 3rd FORESTADENT Symposium and the 1st International 2D® Lingual User Meeting. Two events that simply cannot be missed. On three days, from 23-25 September, interested participants will be offered an unsurpassed scientific programme with high-quality speakers. And this in the centre of one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

“The Aesthetic Smile” will be the main topic of the 3rd FORESTADENT Symposium on 24/25 September. Internationally renowned speakers will present their in-depth knowledge and latest findings in lectures. For example, in his talk “Much Ado About Facial Esthetics – Extractions, Expansion, and Early Treatment Controversies” Dr. Jay Bowman (USA) will put the aesthetic significance of extraction and non-extraction strategies forward for discussion. In the discussion he will attempt to present evidence-based recommendations in this often controversial subject based on extensive study of scientific literature.

Univ.-Prof. Dr. Adriano G. Crismani (Austria) will explain to what extent opening gaps during orthodontic treatment of missing teeth in adolescence and interdisciplinary treatment concepts (implant placement after opening the gap) provide an optimal solution for a long-lasting perfect smile. Prof. Dr. Jörg A. Lisson (Germany) will present an overview of diagnostic and planning techniques in the orthodontic practice routine as well as the prospect with regard to extended diagnostic options (3D). A further highlight is a lecture by Dr. Dr. Dirk Bister, who will focus on the significance of implant-based anchorage during orthodontic treatment of patients with hypodontia.

There will be a chance to compare positive and negative experiences on the topic of miniscrews in a stimulating expert forum. Qualified experts such as Drs Björn Ludwig, Marc Schätzle and Jay Bowman will impart their long years of experience and provide tips for the clinical routine.

Take the opportunity of exchanging ideas between colleagues and users of the 2D® Lingual bracket system at the 1st International 2D®Lingual User Meeting on 23 September. There will also be excellent speakers at this meeting, for example Dr. Vittorio Cacciafesta (Italy) and Dr. Elie Amm (Lebanon).

The venue for the two events will be the “Les Salons de la Maison des Arts & Métiers” between the Arc de Triumph and the Eiffel Tower in the centre of Paris. A unique social programme with a dinner cruise on the “Bateaux Parisiens”, disco party in the “Palace Élysée” or a golf tournament also ensures culinary delight, fun and relaxation.
